- Cincinnati Bell will make a quarterly donation to an eligible school based on the number of new activations of certain Cincinnati Bell products and services by residential customers who subscribe to electronic billing ("eBill") and who have designated an eligible school at the time the service order is made (“a registered customer”).
- Only one school may be designated for each household. Schools must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- To qualify for receipt of any donation, a school must be a primary or secondary school (K-12) located in a Cincinnati Bell operating territory having a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt status.
- To qualify for receipt of any donation, an eligible school must maintain its primary business services with Cincinnati Bell and cannot obtain communications services from a competitor of Cincinnati Bell that are the same or comparable to services available from Cincinnati Bell. In limited circumstances, Cincinnati Bell may waive this eligibility requirement for schools located in areas served by Cincinnati Bell Extended Territories LLC.
- If applicable, all of the eligible school’s corporate accounts with Cincinnati Bell must be in good standing in order to receive the quarterly donation.
- Donation amounts begin to accrue when the school designation is processed.
- A registered customer’s account must be in good standing in order to qualify the school for a donation based on the products and services purchased by the registered customer.
- Cincinnati Bell will not make donations based on any registered customer who cancels his/her service prior to the end of the first billing cycle. School donations will only be made for accounts in good standing at the time donations are distributed to eligible schools.
- Checks for quarterly donations will be made payable to the school and paid on or before the last day of the month following the end of the quarter.
- Checks will not be mailed to schools if the payout is less than $25. If the quarterly minimum is not met, the donation for that quarter will be forfeited.
- Checks must be cashed before the expiration date on the check.
- Checks are considered rejected if not cashed by their expiration date.
- School donations through the LEARN program are not tax-deductible by registered customers.
- Cincinnati Bell reserves the right to discontinue the LEARN program at any time.
